CICP 2016: Posters, presentations and workshop

NAIST students are encouraged to pursue their own research projects. One of the avenues that NAIST offers is the CICP (Creative and International Competitiveness Project), a 6-month program in which students assemble a team, apply with a proposal and independently manage research funds to realize their project. At the CICP workshop, students present their progress.

Airbus Shopfloor Challenge: A winning story

Felix von Drigalski, Doctoral Student at the Graduate School of Information Science and leader of Team NAIST (Dr. Gustavo Alfonso Garcia Ricardez, Lotfi El Hafi and Pedro Miguel Urigüen Eljuri), tells us about their robot design, unforeseen challenges, and working together to find a solution to prepare for the Airbus Shopfloor Challenge at ICRA 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lotfi entered the Robotics Laboratory at NAIST as a Doctoral Student sponsored by the Japanese Government under the MEXT Scholarship Program in 2014. His research focuses on corneal imaging and eye-tracking systems for daily-use applications.
